PV Trans Corporation Opening Ceremony

Upgraded from PetroVietnam Transportation Company, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation has its opening ceremony on September 19, 2007 at Legend Hotel, HCMC.

This transition is a part of PetroVietnam strategic plan to expand Oil & Gas transportation services, meeting demands of domestic oil refineries as well as international clients.

PV TRANS has welcomed the attendance of Mr. Dinh La Thang, member of Central Committee of Vietnam Communist Party, Chairman of Petrovietnam, the attendance of Petrovienam leaders, representatives of PVTrans partners…

Giving speech at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh La Thang highly appreciated the role and importance of PVTrans within Petrovietnam development process and ordered PVTrans to develop the tanker fleet and expand oil and gas marine technical services, to become the leading transportation corporation in 2015, and a reputable name in 2025.

PetroVietnam undertakes to deliver to PVTrans the support of finance, marketing and resources to enable PVTrans to fulfill its strategic plans.

At the ceremony, PVTrans has signed several contracts and agreements with partners, including:

- The memorandum of agreement between PVTrans and PetroVietnam to transport oil products for Dzung Quat refinery.

- The memorandum of agreement between PVTrans and ST Shipping & Transport Pte.Ltd, a subsidiary of Glencore corporation to cooperate in crude oil and product oil transportation in international market.

- The memorandum of agreement among PVTrans, PV Gas, PV Power to cooperate in LNG import, storage, distribution and transportation.

These agreements and contracts are premises for PVTRANS’ development and business expansion.
