PV Trans took delivery of M/T PVT Saturn on 22nd June, 2017 in Singapore

Petro Vietnam Transportation Corporation (PV Trans) is pleased to announce the completion of a purchase a 13,022 DWT IMO2 chemical & oil carrier.

The vessel ex-name was M/T Mountain Oak, was built in November 2008 by Sekwang Shipbuilding in South Korea, Double Hull, Length Overall of 128.60 m, Draught of 8.71 m, Beam of 20.40 m, Gross Tonnage of 8,530, MAN B. & W. Engine, Speed of 13.40 kts.

 

M/T PVT Saturn

The vessel, now renamed the M/T PVT Saturn has 12 epoxy coating tanks and fits well with PV Trans fleet of chemical – oil tankers. M/T Saturn, carrying  Vietnamese flag and manned by a all-Vietnamese crew, will be employed in the spot market in the Middle East – Asia trading area.

After the transaction was completed, M/T PVT Saturn has entered into a new long-term bareboat contract with PVTrans Oil - a subsidiary of PV Trans. She will be performing her first cargo loading in West India according to Voyage Charter dated 25th June, 2017.

The investment is in line with PV Trans's fleet development strategy during 2017-2020. PVTrans is aiming at expanding capacity of its fleet with younger tankers in a response to the increased demand both domestic and international markets, especially an increased in transportation volume of the domestic oil refineries and petrochemical plants, PVT long-term partners.
